If you are pregnant, how many animals do you have? I am pregnant with our first baby and we have two dogs (8 yr old black lab and 2 yr old bichon frise) and an 11 yr old cat. I am feeling a little anxious about having 3 animals and a newborn baby! (Getting rid of them is never an option for me)

I wouldn't be worried. Your animals are a little older, so they should adjust just fine!

We had a 3 month old husky/German Shepard puppy when we came home from the hospital with our first son. Before we brought baby home, the puppy was spastic and aggressive and he used to bite everything. I was really worried. But we put the carrier down with baby inside, the dog out his head on my sons lap and they've been best friends ever since.

Family pets usually do really well with babies! I have a 3 year old son and our 5 year old blue heeler has helped with him since he was small. She looks out for him when he is outside and even eats flies that are buzzing by him! It's the cutest thing!

I have 3 dogs and they were fine when I brought my son home. Just have to make sure they are never alone with the child. I'm now pregnant and I'm more worried about my son dealing with the new baby than the dogs. Also don't allow your pets to lay in the babies sleep area. Cause they like to cuddle and it would be awful for them to roll over the baby's face.

In not pregnant but I am TTC #1. I have 4 dogs and a cat. Cats not even a year old yet and neither are our two puppies. Mom of puppies is Alaskan malamute. 2 years and dad is German Shepherd 4 years. Pups are 9 mnths

I have an 8 year old dog that I've had since I was 15 but no other pets. He doesn't like cats otherwise I would've had a cat and with a 2 year old son and 20 weeks pregnant, 1 dog is enough for me!

2 dogs 1 cat inside, and horses for course!♡ 2 of our own and then we always have 2 or 3 outside horses because my husband trains and rides for other people. Can't wait to have my little cowboy/girl! I want to get a mini so bad...

When we had our first we had a 7 year old 100 lb german Shepard,  an 11 year old small dog and a cat. They really didn't pay much attention to him. When the 2nd came we had the same 3 but the Shephard ended up having to be put to sleep when she was 11 months old. We ended up adopting a puppy and a 1 year old from our county shelter a few months later and they love her and its all worked great. Im now 11 weeks pregnant with #3 and we still have 3 dogs and 1 cat and they're all mostly inside animals. My husband would always bring something home from the hospital and let them smell it before we brought the babies home. And as they've grown into toddlers we've learned its important to teach the kids to respect the animals as well and it all works out!
