Online dating: would you date a guy who has kids?

Question

I'm 35 and online dating. Lots of guys already have children (I don't). My friends who have dated guys with kids advised me not to, they say it's too hard, too much drama.

I don't see why not. Many women complain they don't want a man who already has kids but complain when they can't find a man because she has kids

So, I got married a little later than most (at 32, I'm now 33, expecting first baby). My hubby is a year older than me, also no kids, never been married. It took is awhile to find each other (online 😆). It wa shard to find a guy my age with no kids. I dated a guy with kids. It wasn't horrible but I'm glad I held out and married someone without kids or an ex-wife. We are expecting our first (next week!!) and it is so exciting and amazing experiencing marriage and a child with someone you love for the first time. Especially at our age. I know life throws your curveballs and if I had fallen madly in love with a man with children I wouldn't have let it stop me but I think it's worth searching for someone in similar life circumstances.

I'd have no problem dating a dad who has  nice kids but if they we're uncontrolled then that's a different cuttle of fish

Before my husband, I tried online dating. I ended up dating a guy with 2 boys. A 4 and 5 year old. I baby sat for him and helped take care of the kids when I was over. It did not bother me one bit. He was a great dad, and it made me like him even more. The mom was not great, but she lived hours away, and had primary custody. I never had to meet her. We broke up (obviously), but it was unrelated to him having children.

Met my hubby online and he has a son and ex wife, honestly the first year was a little Rocky but now its great. Been together 3 years and married for 1!!!

I was 21 started dating my Boyfriend (27) at that time and has a 8 year old. Not going to lie it was hard at first because it was new to me, also because you got  a inside look how he deals with his baby's Mother, the new Boyfriend, and drama. I just let him deal with his baby's Mother without me getting involved is the best choice I ever made. Lol. We been together for almost 2 years now and we all have that mutal respect for each other and work together to get along not only for us but for also his Daughter.
