Help!! New Copper IUD and no period?

I had a copper IUD period inserted about a month ago, and now my period is 12 days late 😩 I have had the usual cramping that comes with a period, and even the heavy brown discharge that I typically get before my new cycle. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had unprotected sex the night before my insertion, BUT the copper IUD is well known for also being extremely effective as emergency contraception. Who else has skipped a period with the copper IUD?? I'm trying to wait at least another week before I test for pregnancy, because I've been having sex since my insertion.
