Is 9-10wks too late for my first Doctor's appointment?

My insurance doesn't kick in until Feb 1, and on top of that I can't even call in and schedule an appointment until the 1st. I'm disappointed but still glad that my insurance will be kicking in soon. I feel fine, I'm almost 6wks...I just wanna see my baby! And make sure everything's going well.

My doctor office and the OB office I work in don't see ladies for their first OB appointments until they are 10 weeks along. So you will be perfectly fine. Waiting that long also increases the chances of hearing the heartbeat really clearly.

Same with the place where I work at, so I'm waiting til after I'm 10 weeks to be seen. :) right now there isn't much that can be seen anyways

Most doctors won't see you until then anyway. I'll be 11 weeks before I see my OB.

I'm in the same boat...new insurance doesn't start till feb 1. I called and ask they said that was just fine. I'm curious why you can't make your appointment now? My only worry would be if you make it feb 1 you might not be able to get an appointment for a few weeks
