Which milk?

Does breastfeeding get your baby chubby faster than formula? I really wanted to breastfeed but was under a lot of stress and didn't produce enough. I just want my baby to be chubby and healthy.

I've had skinny formula babies and skinny breastfeed babies. I also had a chunky formula baby and I currently have a chunky breasfed baby. 
Breast or formula, whatever you chose or have to use your baby will be growing.

Both of my BF babies have gained tons of weight and were/are super chunks lol. Dr asked me if I had buttermilk in there 😆 but our oldest who's 4 now is a beanpole like me. This is our little! She's 6 weeks

Chubby doesn't necessarily mean healthy. Our pediatrician told us that when we had our first. He actually gets concerned with chubby babies. Your best bet is to go based off what your pedi suggests.

Breastfed babies typically gain more up until 3-4 months than gain slower even after solids and are leaner at 1 yr old . Breastfed infants take in 20% less milk than formula fed and still are completely healthy and also size will depend on how their patents sizes are if u and ur partner are on smaller side baby will usually be on smaller side as well . Remember there is no such thing as an "average" size baby cuz all baby's are genetically different

My baby was breastfed for 7 weeks and then formula.  She was 8lbs 7oz born and is chunky with rolls on rolls.  I think it doesn't matter what you feed them.  Each baby is different.

Breastfed babies are usually on the slim side until they start solids or supplement. At least all three of mine were. As soon as we started supplementing when I went to work is when they got chubby. My middle son was real chubby, we had to switch early due to a sensitivity and severe reflux, we also thickened his formula with cereal so he was a little rolly polly.

I had the same problem when I had my lo. We were trying to breast feed but he was born early and in the special care nursery with breathing issues and I was so stressed out from everything that my supply was basically nothing. He dropped almost 10% below his birth weight so we started supplementing with formula. By the time we had gone home, my supply was even lower than when I was actively trying to breast feed so we switched entirely to formula. We use similac expert care neosure because it has more calories than breast milk and other formula and he's gaining pretty consistently on that.

When I was trying to breastfeed they had me add 1/4 of a teaspoon of the similar formula to 45 ml of breast milk to give it the extra calories.
