So I just came back from my 37 weeks appointment and I'm exactly in the same dilation as 35 weeks ughhh,2.5 cm,whats going on with my body?I'm devasted cause same thing happened to my oldest and I ended up being induced at 39 weeks cause my water bag broke,I'm so over this back pain,this contractions,this groin pain,this pelvic pressure,this heartburn,I'm exhausted,sorry but I needed to talk to someone,any advices to dilate or encouraging words?

Dilation is so meaningless as a gauge of where you are. With my second child I was over 40 hours into labor and a 2. She was born 2 hours later. Only a few months before I had a friend that was a 2-3 for her last 4 weeks of pregnancy. All bodies are different. And all pregnancies are different. Maybe just relax and let it happen when it happens. Just because your water broke with the last does not mean it will this time. It could go totally differently.

You can be closed and go into spontaneous labor the next day. Being dilated can mean something and nothing. I'm sure the baby will be here sooner then you think.
