Transitioning twins to another room before babies arrive?

We are moving my twin boys ( 3 years old)  to another room before their twin sisters arrive in May. Their cribs are currently toddler beds and will be converted back and be used for the babies. I'm trying to figure out if we should move the boys to their new room with their current beds and then get then new beds after a little bit or move them in to the room with their new beds right away. We are trying to get this all done well before their sisters arrive because we know it will be life changing! What are your thoughts? Thank you!

I would do it all at once. It can take some time to get them used to it but as long as you have a pretty constant bedtime routine & any loveys or blankets they sleep with should help the transition go smoothly. I've had to do this three times so far with each of my boys. Just get them involved in it & make it exciting. Also because there's two of them it should help. The transition for my first was a little harder than with the others. I think having someone to do it with makes it easier. Best of luck.

I would do new beds and new room at the same time. And LOTS of taking about the new big kid change before the big day. Let them help pick things out and make it their own so they feel like they were a part of the decision.

I would just do new beds and new rooms all at once and get it over with. You don't want to keep changing things. Try to make moving into a new room with new beds exciting for them. Keep telling them they are big boys now and they get a new big boy room with big boy beds! We moved my daughter before we told her I was pregnant (she's 4). I was so afraid she would have a hard time and resent the baby for the change but to my surprise she did great! She loves her new room more than the old one! I can't get her to come out! She's also excited to give her "baby" room to the new baby. My daughter usually does not do well with change. We let her pick out new bedding and really made the move special for her and it worked out. Good luck!

I will transition them slow moving them in the new room with old beds then change out after they are use to the room
