Hi I am a full on POAS addict and I use OPK to feed my addiction. I ovulated on 1/3 and my period is in 5 days. So my question is why would I be getting a 2 positive this month.m? This has never happened to me in our 12 months of TTC. My cycles are always the same and the same time. So this is something new.

*yes I know you get a slight LH rise before your period but my line has never been this dark before my period.

Some people actually use OPK does a pregnancy test. Yes you have an LH surge before your period and yes you're correct that will still show as a negative on OPK. Almost but not quite darker than the control line. The theory is if you're pregnant your LH will surge so high it would be most definitely as dark and more probably darker than the control line. I say this for me would at least make me wanna try a cheap HPT. If you can turn a positive on an OPK you should be able to a pregnancy test. How many DPO are you?

It's entirely possible to ovulate twice. That's how some twins are conceived. Maybe BD again today for good luck :)
