Hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, and TTC
So I've posted this before but I wanted to see if anyone else has been in this situation.
In July I started going to a weight loss specialist who determined I was insulin resistant. I took this information to my OB/GYN who referred me to a endocrinologist. My Endo determined that not only am I insulin resistant, but my thyroid was slightly off. She put me on metformin (currently at 1000mg, working up to 2000mg) and Synthroid (50mcg). I have my follow up blood work next week. I also found that I have a 3cm cyst in one ovary. They didn't necessarily diagnose me with PCOS but did discuss it with me since I have most symptoms but my hormone levels aren't consistent to PCOS.
We've just started to TTC again after a short hiatus and I'm already frustrated. I was pregnant once before at age 17 (I'm 24 now) but terminated the pregnancy due to a severely abusive relationship. I'm wondering if there's any hope? Or what methods have people used with similar circumstances?
