BV after oral sex

I have a tendency to get bacterial vaginosis (BV) often, usually after my period. (Didn't happen this month) I received oral sex yesterday and it came back, the discharge and a little odor. (I know you all may say it's an STI, but the same symptoms have happened that I know.) I know what to do to fix it. But has this happened to anyone else?
