Engagement fever help/advice?!

SO and I have been together for two years and are seriously considering marriage. We are still in college so we want to wait until we are more financially stable to even get engaged. We think our timeline would have us engaged sometime in 2-3 years. And I know that I'll have the rest of my life to spend with him so 2-3 years should be nothing; but I'm so darn impatient and love the idea of marrying him so much that 2-3 years seems like forever away. How do I calm down my engagement fever and just worry about the present when I'm just so excited to spend the rest of my life with him?!
