Tarot card reading on the radio... hey, I'll take it.
My husband and I started trying for a baby in July 2014. We had a miscarriage at 11 weeks right before Christmas 2014. We've been trying ever since and have had some challenges (my period didn't start again for 4 months). We started seeing a fertility specialist in October. All tests are fine. We did a monitored cycle last month with clomid and menopur, and I thought for sure it worked. AF showed last week. This month we decided to take it another step and do IUI. It is expensice5, and we are worried if it doesn't work this month, we won't be able to afford many more months. We're both trying to keep our heads up, but it's getting hard.
So, my husband just called me at work, and put the biggest smile on my face. He told me he was driving to a meeting in another city, and listening to the radio, and they had a tarot card reader on with the dj. People were calling in, and getting readings, and he was listening. He decided to call, and was surprised, but he got through. She asked him what he wanted to know about. He told them that we are trying to get pregnant, and would love to know if that's in the cards. The dj and her were both surprised, because the first card flipped was the pregnancy card. She said it can mean pregnancy soon, or a change in the next 9 months. She said that it looks like I will be pregnant very soon, but will have to do something medical first (maybe the IUI?) And that I might need a slight change to my diet, for example giving up caffeine or soda. We are on the whole 30 diet right now, so I've been doing pretty good. My husband doesn't know, but I had a soda yesterday and today. I asked if she specifically called that out, and he said yes. She also asked if he wanted to know the sex, and he said sure. She said the baby was wearing a little blue hat on the card, so it'll be a boy. I don't really buy into psychic stuff most of the time, but this cheered me up and gave me hope. Let's hope she was right. Although I would prefer a girl (actually, I really want twins girls, or a bit and a girl twins), I am so hopeful she was right. I needed that. So did my hubby. :-)
