Period like symptoms during early pregnancy?

I have been trying to concieve for a year now with no luck. I am wondering if it is common for a woman to experience period symptoms and think their period is coming but end up being pregnant? I'm hoping this month is a positive and not a negative!

It is very common to cramp during ovulation and to spot and cramp during implantation. Many women even think they had period and it turns out to be implantation. Also some early pregnancy symptoms are things some women experience as PMS (bloating, having to pee a lot, tender Breast, etc.) I usually wait a week after I'm suppose to start just to be sure with irregular periods or if I'm having confusing symptoms.
