A little disappointed. Is it normal?

It's a girl. Not that I'm not excited I was just hoping for a little boy. Is it normal to feel a little bit of disappointment? Am I wrong?

YES YES YES - this is so normal, and it's so brave of you to publicly say something. when I found out we were having a boy (who's now 14 months) I felt my heart drop, I even cried, but found it hard to talk about. I was so bitter when I found out my cousin was having a girl... I was so disappointed - I wanted a girl SO badly - I even convinced myself we were having a girl up to the day he was born, which led to us not bonding for almost two months after he was born. it has been so humbling for me to be the mama of my son - turns out I don't always know what's best for me! having a son had proved to be one of my greatest joys and now I can't imagine life with a little girl (although, I'd love the next babe to be a girl!) but I think you're allowed to mourn what 'could have been', while also rejoicing that you have a healthy baby girl growing inside you!

Totally normal I want a girl and think it's a boy I won't have a gender reveal because I sign want to cry in front of people if it's a boy 😍😂

It's completely normal. I have 2 girls so I was dying to have a boy. Me and my boyfriend had the name picked out and everything. I was so upset it was a girl I took it out on the ultrasound tech and demanded another ultrasound. But surprisingly I immediately got over it. I just figured it's god doing and that it's not meant for me to have a boy. Now I'm shopping for my babygirl and can't wait until she gets here💗😘💗😘

In the same boat, my husband and I have 3 girls 8, 5 and a daughter in heaven.
We are pregnant with our 4th and it's a boy!
We both wanted another little girl, but we're coming around to the idea of a change in pace and a new chapter in our lives.

Same situation have 2 girls and prayed so hard for the boy this time around specially that I decided that I don't eat anymore kids but it wast meant to be ..glad I am not alone but I guess I got over it quickly and know that it's god's gift to us and we should be thankful no matter what

I am suppose to get a sneak peek to find out gender at 16 weeks and I've been having dreams it's a girl and I cried out of disappointment. Now I'm afraid I will honestly  be upset if I have another girl because I've wanted a son since I was 8 and had a little brother be born. I have 2 girls now so thank you for reminding me I'm not alone when it comes to this kind of thing. I'm scared to see what the gender is.

It's completely normal and okay to be sad. However, focus on the good things of having a girl. While it's perfectly okay to feel sad, don't allow yourself to stay in that place for too long otherwise it can turn into a legit depression & you may not connect with your baby for a while. You don't want to miss out on those first few days/weeks/months. I promise you, it will get better. I was in the same place as you last month. I do still want my girl more than anything, but I'm warming upto the idea of being a boy mama too.
