Has anyone taken a 2nd round of cytotec(misoprostol)??

We went in on Dec 29th for what should have been our 12 week appt only to find that our baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. Our doctor suggested that since nothing had happened on its own that I take cytotec(misoprostol) to induce it. I took it on Jan 1st and thought it was successful as I went through everything everyone said would happen with it. We went in for a follow-up yesterday only to find out that I did not pass everything. Less than half is left. She now wants me to take a 2nd dose to clear the rest out. What is your experience taking another round? Is it as bad as the first time? Did it work? Scared to go through this again... Just want it to be over so my husband and I can move forward and recover from this 😞

Had a ultrasound at 7 wks that showed no fetal pole and development stopped around 5.5wks. Took the wait it out approach and miscarriaged naturally (although apparently not all of it). Miscarriage was 18 days of heavy bleeding. The following period was another 18 days of heavy bleeding. Went to OB and discovered I was still hcg+ and there was remaining tissue from the pregnancy. They gave me a dose of cytotec and nothing happened... Not a single spot of blood. Fast forward 1 wk, another ultrasound, and more blood work later, they gave me a second round of cytotec. Again, absolutely nothing happened. Ended up with a d&c guided by ultrasound to remove just the remaining tissue. Feel like I wasted the 2.5wks with the cytotec treatment. Kinda wish I had just gone with the scheduled d&c in the first place.

I took a second round as I was in a similar situation as you. For whatever reason the second round was absolutely terrible. I have a high pain tolerance and have had several miscarriages--therefor a lot of experience with cytotec.  The 2nd round, I had excruciating pain/contractions that lasted for hours. I also blacked out twice. I think I lost too much blood. Anyways, it didn't work and everything was stuck in my cervix so the doctor ended up removing the rest in his office the next day.

Not trying to scare you or anything. I've heard of it working better for others. I'm very  Sorry for your loss.

I took it because my cervix wouldn't open, disputed haveing horrible labor pains.. But it worked for me, with really no issues..

My last miscarriage I took the cytotec and I only bled for ten hours so I knew something didn't go right. My doctor made me wait a week only to find out both babies were still in my uterus. Which I ended up getting an infection from.. We decided to go ahead and do the d and c because of all the pain I was already in and to make sure it was successful in getting everything out. With my first miscarriage luckily the cytotec worked perfectly and I delivered the babies with out any problems.

My dr had me take the 1st round and then 2nd round 48 hours later. The first one was miserable...I thought I was actually going to die. It took 2 percocet within 3 hours of each other to calm me down enough to sleep.
 The 2nd round I took with a percocet. And watched a movie in bed with husband. It actually wasn't nearly as bad. Some cramping and I passed one decent sized clot. 
4 days later was my follow up and they said everything looked good..then my blood work came back and my beta levels are still elevated...going back next week to retest my blood.

I had to take a second round because the first didn't do anything. My OB gave me more mg and I also took it more often, my first dosage was vaginally. When it finally started to work I passed everything within an hour.
