Is a "wandering eye" ok?

My boyfriend randomly talks to females over social media. He passes it off as "harmless" even if they are romantically interested in him and if they flirt with him. He never knows why he does it but begs me to not leave him. Is this normal or okay? I'll randomly find out every 3 or 4 months but it's like his 3rd chance at least. 
I find myself becoming more detached and I don't trust him. Why does he NEED female attention? Is he THAT bored to constantly need fun conversation? It's immature and ridiculous. What would you do? It's so hard for me to just leave because he's the first who I've found that accepts me for who I am and supports me through thick and thin.

Something I learned when I got married last year is that whatever issues you have in a relationship no matter how small, when you get married they get huge. Idk if you're thinking about marriage soon or not but why waste your time on someone who you don't ultimately see yourself with in the future, whatever he's doing now, he'll most likely do it later. But I'd just talk to him and let him know it bothers you and if he does it again I'd assume he doesn't care about your feelings very much. Every girl deserves someone who only has eyes for her.

My boyfriend and I have a rule that if a girl is flirting with him. Or a guy is flirting with me. We either HAVE to talk about each other. If the person continues to flirt. We stop talking to them. Maybe set some equal rules between you two? If you're feeling detached let him know. Tell him why. And put your foot down, tell him if he continues this way, you guys won't work out.

I put up with that shit in my last relationship, my ex being too "friendly" with girls, and the best I ever felt in that whole relationship is when I ended it. If it bothers you and he can't stop it because it's "harmless" he isn't the guy for you. Just my opinion but yeah. Some guys never change. My ex would be the one to message these girls himself and yeah, it was harmless but if a girl, that I know for a fact he didn't find attractive, would message him he'd immediately reply saying "I have a girlfriend". I know he found these other girls attractive that he did message because my name or girlfriend never came up once. Friendly my ass.

What ela said. I wouldn't be okay with that at all. That's talking to diffrent girls interested or not. Its you're boyfriend and you're relationship so it's ultimately you're choice on the rules. But it doesn't sound like you're okay with this not like many girls are because it's wrong.

be stern so he knows your serious. If he doesn't wanna lose you he won't risk it. tell him you have tried to deal with it for a while now but that it hurts you and tell him why. tell him that if he doesn't stop its over. but that just might make him do it in private and delete it behind your back which is scarier.
