Yesterday my mind was blown. A customer and a co-worker got on the subject of how the co-worker and her daughter have glaucoma. The customer (a complete stranger), expressed genuine compassion and offered up a prayer. The woman with glaucoma was extremely sarcastic when the customer left, asking why people thought that was socially acceptable to express religious views in public and how offended she was by the woman. Other co-workers chimed in on how Jesus was a mythical being, and how Christians were so naive and uneducated. As a Christian, I try not to let things like this get to me, but in order for me to respect your lack of belief, you're going to have to have some tolerance for my religion, especially if it is conveyed in a peaceful manner. The praying woman saw no harm in her actions and only offered best wishes to someone she didn't even know. What is happening to the people of this planet? How is a prayer considered offensive? Just brush it off if the person offering you a prayer obviously had no ill intentions.
