Had my 38 week appt scheduled for 2:30pm

Had my 38 week appt scheduled for 2:30pm. Went to appt dr checked to see if I was dialated any. He said no was dialated and baby still seemed high. Left my appt feeling bummed was for sure thinking baby #2 would come early. Headed back to work. Completed my work day sat down and did our 5 year olds homework with him. Cooked dinner and ate. Everything sill feeling normal at this point. Was lying on couch watching Netflix to which I eventually fell asleep. Woke up at 9:30 to cough and felt like I had started to pee myself. As i sat up on the couch I continued to pee. Hobbled to the bathroom feeling my pants soaking wet and dribbles of water following my path. At this point I knew my water broke but wAs not having any contractions. Called the on call dr and he said to go to labor and delivery to see what was going. I hadn't packed the hospital bag yet or even washed any of the baby clothes! We left out the door to the hospital at 11:30pm. On way to hospital contractions kicked in fast and hard. Checked in to hospital was 3 cm dialated. By the time I had finished all the paperwork I was now 6 cm dialated! Got the epidural. As soon as that was over i was 8 cm dialated. And then 10! Everything happened so fast the dr barley made it in to catch our baby. Had 4 nurses on hand ready to deliver a baby. After 3 pushes our baby was born at 2:58 am. So fast I'm still in shock! My labor was 5 1/2 hours long and was only at hospital for 3 1/2 hours before delivery! No tears either! Greyson Kane 8lbs 11.6oz 21 inches long!
