Is it hard being a teen parent?

I'm 15, and 33 weeks pregnant. Although I'm super stoked to have my baby girl and I feel very blessed, I can't help but wish I would have been smarter about my actions you know? Anyone else feeling this way? I'm keeping my child. Just curious to how you other young mommy's give yourself courage. I feel like my age is going to restrict my limits as to how well of a parent I will be. :( idk.

Age does NOT define how well of a parent you will be. You will have a harder time getting a job since your 15, but I'm 17 and I know damn well I will be a better mother then a lot of older women. I've seen it, my mom owns a daycare and I can take way better care of the kids than a 23 year old who works for her and a 34 year old. So yes it will be hard and I agree I love my baby to death but I did try preventing mine but things happen and my baby is a gift from God. I'm still embedded because I'm young about being s young mom and I've been with only one guy and we've been together for 2 years. But age will never define how well of a parent you are. Just because you can't afford as much as other parents can doesn't mean crap. As long as you can care and give the love your baby needs you will be a great mom.

Age has nothing to do with how good of a parent you will be!! I'm 17 and pregnant with twins. I'm still with my boyfriend, graduated school a year early, and am currently in college. Don't let your age limit what you can do. Think about it, there's mothers out there that are 30 and can't support their babies as well as you will.

I'm 16, and a mother of a 2 weeks old. I pretty much do everything on my own, as long as you have everything you need. It's pretty easy. Just say goodbye to sleep, lol.

It's hard but possible! Extremely exhausting the older your child gets. Yes they say the older they get they'll sleep all night, but did they also warn us that when teething hits it's like having a newborn all over again? My 10 month old sleeps less than he did when he was 1 month old because of his mouth. I LOVE being a mother. In fact my SO and I are trying for another baby. Getting a job is harder around your age, but there are places like daycares in your area that could be understanding. I'm not going to lie or sugar coat it. There will be days you're so tired you just wanna hand your baby to a stranger, but you don't because your baby needs YOU!! As soon as you have the baby an instinct will kick in and you'll feel like only you're good enough to do anything for your baby. Getting up in the night to change or feed or just snuggle will stress you out, but in the end. That's your job. Baby's have a biological need to be held, cradled, loved. They need to feel their mommy. Sometimes your heartbeat is the only thing to calm him or her down.

I was 15 when I gave birth and it was definitely difficult. You're still a child so its hard to be an adult at the same time :( just make sure to reach out to resources and get help whenever you need to. Ask doctors lots of questions. I'm almost 18 now and even if it is hard, it does get easier:)

It is difficult, it's sleep depriving. There WILL be times where you feel like you can't do it. That's okay. There WILL be times where you want your baby to stay at the babysitter a little longer. It's OKAY. You will do a wonderful job. You can be mad and upset that you have to get up every hour of the night, but you WILL do it. Your baby will be the love of your life, not everyone has a baby and gets that hit of love right when they're born. I was indifferent when I had my son. I didn't know what to feel. He's a month and a half old now and I'm just now getting that love for him. Good luck
