Pcos?

Hi i'm gemma i have been trying for baby number 2 for 11 months. I had a check up with my ob who told me i had pcos. She saw small cysts on my ovaries. I do find it hard to lose weight. I have gone from 4 day meduim flow cycle to a 2 day very light cycle yet regular 29 day cycle every month all the same. I don't kbow what to believe anymore ...is my ob correct she wants me to go on the pill for 6 months. .i really don't want to i would rather try somwthing else like clomid.

I would go see a specialist. If you have PCOS and have been trying for a year or more you are an ideal candidate for fertility meds.

I have pcos and am 30
Weeks pregnant from iui. I don't feel like just putting you on birth control is the answer. I'm sure you want answers. The first thing I would want to find out is if I was ovulating. Maybe see a specialist and they will monitor your cycle and find out what exactly is up. Pcos can mean many different things and knowing how it is effecting your body is important. Don't let people blindly tel you to do things with out knowing all the info. Get your self answers and then you can make decisions.

She is probably right about the PCOS but if you don't want to go on the pill for 6 months just tell her, mine suggested it and I told her that the pill was not an option for me and she was fine with it. Good Luck on TTC
