Car bump and bad pain in side 😓

Yesterday I was in a bump with my car and another, his mirror electrics came loose, but I ended up with a big scratch and dent down the side of my car. I thought nothing of it and obviously we exchanged details, then last night I had the most horrific pain in my side, like I had been stabbed, it came on so quickly it frightened me and brought me to tears, my dh rang the community midwife who said it was just a pulled muscle and to take some pain killers and it should go, after about an hour of excruciating pain it subsided but I'm worried now. It didn't feel like a pulled muscle! It was sharp and constant, where I've pulled muscles in the past it's more of an ache and when you move.
