I am NEVER going to Pediatric Associates again. We have been having problems with them since Hunter was born, but today really topped it off. My mom was babysitting and he spiked a fever so I called and made an appointment, she took him in, and we met her there. They did chest X rays, finger prick, blood work, and they wanted to do a catheter. We refused the catheter because he was already upset, exhausted, and hungry. The doctor unwillingly came in, after we had to repeatedly ask the lab tech for the test results. She was loudly smacking her gum, and said the blood work was fine except something a little off that could be an infection. I said ok so is he going to get an antibiotic? She said "no, we won't give an antibiotic with catheterizing and checking urine." So we go to check out and we have a balance. It was a few copays added up that I was told I didn't have to pay when I went to those appointments. I handed them my debit card and explained this and the lady said "well after 60 days it goes to collections and I don't think you want that to happen." I am just so furious with our experience today. Never going back there.
