IUD body adjustment.

Ok so I got my IUD on October 1st 2015 and I only had a light period for my first period, then after I had surgery for a bartholin cyst removal I had a period for a month straight. Then for about a month didn't have one again and then I've had one on and off for about a month again. Like it will go for a week then I'll skip like 2 days and then start spotting again. I just wonder when it will go back to normal. Cause I wanna have sex again. Lol. Also when should the strings soften enough to where he won't feel them anymore.
