Anyone had success with only 500mg Metformin with or without clomid?

Wanting to know if 500mg is too little to help.

I have taken 500 mg of metformin for the last year. It has helped me lose weight (along with diet and exercise) and it has helped to get my periods somewhat more normal. I went to see the specialist for the first time yesterday and he said I am doing everything right!! To keep taking the metformin, keep exercising and eating right. We are going to try our first round of Clomid this month. I say take the metformin and work on getting healthy and focus on getting your periods normal again, if they already are not. Good luck girl!!

I'm on 1000 mg daily I take one pill morning and one evening. I was prescribed clomid as well. This makes 3rd cycle trying. AF came yesterday. Tested this morning cuz the blood looked diff it was more brown than red. BFN. So here's to October!!
