Bleeding at almost 37 weeks pregnant.....

Hi Ladies, I'm pregnant with my 4th baby, and this pregnancy has been a roller coaster from the beginning. I had bleeding on and off and was put on bedrest for the first 6 and a half months. Then all of a sudden it just stopped. Since then everything has been pretty "normal".

Well at 4 am I got up to go pee for the hundredth time like I always do, and when I looked there was a lot of blood. No mucous or discharge of any kind, just bright red blood. I yelled for my husband and he said let's go to the er. We got there and even the nurse was alarmed at the amount of blood. They hooked me up to the monitor. The doctor came in and checked me, I am not dilating and am still thick. I was having mild contractions. They drew blood, and took urine. Then did a long ultrasound to do an assessment on baby. They watched her movement and heart beat, looked at my placenta and fluid.....

After being there for 6 hours they were unable to find any reason for the bleed. By the time I left it was a lot lighter, and I'm now just barely spotting. But has any of you experienced anything like this. I'm thankful everything is okay, but it's frustrating and scary to not have answers.
