Infection after HSG?

Question

Anyone get an infection after an HSG test? I look like I swallowed a basketball, my lower abdomen is so distended! I'm in incredible pain from my thighs through my neck. Can barely walk, trouble breathing, heart races just getting dressed.

I told my doc and she switched me to an uber intense antibiotic plan because I was already on doxycycline. I'm really nervous. She said if I didn't get better in 24 hours we have to push up my Fallopian tube removal to this week (found out closed post surgery so planned to get them removed next month). I would love to hear other people's nightmare experiences so I don't feel like this is so dire. I am 4 days post hsg.

Hi there! I know this is a little late but what ended up happening? I had an HSG 2 weeks ago and I’m still trying to fight off an infection. I started with pain in my right pelvic area that radiated throughout my groin down to my thigh. I was achy all over, couldn’t catch my breath and felt so tired. Don’t know what I should do now cause I have two days of antibiotics left and I don’t feel 100% yet

I got an infection but not nearly as bad as yours sounds. I was fine after an additional week of antibiotics but it wasn't fun. Hope you get better soon!
