Period 1 week late

My period is 1 week late, which is rare because my period usually comes around the same day every month. Not sure if I should wait longer to take a pregnancy test, I haven't had any symptoms. No condom was used nor any other type of birth control. It was just the pullout method. Should I wait a couple more days to see if my period comes or take a pregnancy test ASAP?
