What do you guys think of the "mom decals"

kris
I'm not sure what they're actually called, I've just noticed how popular they're becoming. I don't see the point in them. It's almost like people are bragging about how good of a mom they think they are. But I doubt that's the real reason why they've become so trendy. I guess they're proud of the choices they've made. I just don't see why it needs to be broadcasted on your car. They rub me the wrong way.

I think it's great to let me know ahead of time to not bother with them. A real time saver.

Saw this at the gym a few days ago. Family of guns!

The sticker itself doesn't bother me. The potential for mommy shaming does.

I think that's the line that it dances close to. Maybe that's why it rubs me the wrong way.

I haven't seen those yet. But I'm not bothered by it. It's okay to be proud of the choices you've made as a mother.

I think it's great, it lets people know that she most likely doesn't care about what someone thinks of her lifestyle (i.e breastfeeding in public, "attachment parenting"). Idk I like it but maybe it's because it's one of those "crunchy" mom things and that's along the lines of how I plan to raise my kids

I get what you're saying. Like someone else said they're kinda like the stick figure families, I hate those things because I personally don't think everyone needs to know how many kids you have and what their names are (due to the creeps of the world) but at the same time it's what they choose to do

I would think if they truly didn't care then there wouldn't be a need for a decal. They'd just do what they want.

I am a crunchy mom & do all the above but I don't have the decal. A mother can be proud of how she's raising her child & display it if she so pleases. I see nothing wrong with it. I don't think it has anything to do with shaming. If I had it, definitely would not mean I look down on the mothers who aren't raising their child that way.  Idc how someone else raises their child as long as they're getting the job. I did the complete opposite with my first child. I don't see how the decal bothers anyone anyways. All well.

These are almost as bad as the stick figure family decals 😂😂

Never seen them, but I find all of those decals tacky. I don't even like having the dealer logo on my car.

I think it's pretty dumb. I find basically all of those decals dumb though. But if someone feels the need to broadcast to everyone that they breastfeed and all that I probably wouldn't like them anyway. I'm more low key. I don't need to tell the strangers driving behind me how I feed my baby

All of those things come with backlash. Women shame other women for baby wearing and breastfeeding. I think they're just making a statement.
