Prenatal vitamins while TTC?

So I was wondering if taking the prenatal vitamins while TTC does really boots your chances  of getting pregnant? I've read in some places that it does help but I wanted to hear from from the experienced ladies. This is my first time TTC.

Well I have really bad pcos and I was told I could never have kids of my own. So I was put on metformin, prenatals, and geritol for 6 months religiously and I am now 12w4d pregnant with my very own miracle baby.  I'm not a doctor but I swear by it

It helps your body owith health but I wouldn't say it boosts anything conception wise other than having your body more ready to carry the pregnancy once it starts. I've been ttc x9 months, been on prenatals since the start and no positive yet.

I took them from the moment we started thinking about conceiving.  I was told by by gp and ob that they make sure your body has enough of the right vitamins for the baby. I know they said it was also good for the folic acid,  because neural tube defects often occur before you find out you are even pregnant so having that folic acid before conceiving is a good idea.

I wouldn't say the help you conceive, but they definitely decrease the rate of miscarriage and birth defects once conception occurs.

I think it prepares your body. I miscarried in October and I have stayed on them. My doctor made me wait for 3 full cycles after the miscarriage to help get level and stuff more even
