Pregnant or not?

I am 8 days late for my period. (Never been more than 2 days late my whole life) been having cramps off and on all week, extreme bloating, and fatigue. I took a hpt this morning and it was negative.. had bad pregnancy syptoms last month but AF showed up and blood test said no.. Is my mind playing tricks on me??
