Can you still get your period while being pregnant?

Is it possible to be pregnant and still receive a visit from mother nature? I never thought it was possible and still don't see how it is possible. My fiancé thinks I'm pregnant because im showing signs like morning sickness but I just had my period two weeks ago. He wants me to take a test but I'd rather not waist one.

You cannot have an actual period while pregnant. That is a myth.

And yes, I expect people to say their friend's cousin's stepmom did. But that just isn't the case.

Bleeding during pregnancy is possible. But not a menstrual cycle. Menstruation ceases during pregnancy.

Decidual bleeding would be the term for most instances of bleeding during pregnancy. That would be a partial shedding of the uterine lining but not a full shedding due to the lack of a viable pregnancy (which is what menstrual bleeding is).

Okay everyone saying they had their period while pregnant it really wasn't their period. YOU CANNOT HAVE A PERIOD WHILE PREGNANT! A menstrual cycle is ovulation(releasing of an egg) and the shedding of the uterine wall caused by the unfertilization of that egg. When you are pregnant you don't ovulate and you don't shed your uterine wall therefor no period. With that being said bleeding while pregnant can happen rather it being from implantation, irritation caused by sex or miscarriage ect. Usually if you bleed during pregnancy it will act totally different from a menstrual cycle could be lighter or shorter.  Implantation bleeding can happen around the same time your expected period happens. If your husband really thinks your pregnant there are cheap 99 cents test to give him and you piece of mind. Hope this helps 😄

No you can't a period sheds your lining  , if you have a normal blood flow then your not. You can bleed do to other reasons durning pregnancy , that's why its so rare cause it doesn't happen to a lot of women blood normally isn't a good sign. You can throw up due to your period and the hormones.

It's not possible, your period happens because the egg was not fertilized and the lining of your uterus is shedding. And because your egg was not fertilized it means you're not pregnant. 2 weeks after your period also means you could be ovulating, it's nearly impossible that you are pregnant. As someone said, you could be sick from ovulating due to hormonal changes. In most cases, you wouldn't know your pregnant until you've missed your period.
