dh and I have decided on Tobias if the baby is a boy and like Toby for a nickname... but I've been second guessing the decision because I want a name that sounds good when the sports announcer announces his name. dh played baseball and loves sports and will likely teach our son how to play and will play with him all the time. (if it's a boy) Do you think Tobias/Toby sounds sporty at all? Last name is Brock...

With Brock being the last name I honestly think you can get away with any name sounding sporty! But I can definitely hear Tobias Brock being said! I love it.

You sound like me! I'm we had a boy I wanted to name him Ryder, my SO rides dirt bikes lol. But I do think Toby sounds sporty enough :)

I have always loved the name Tobias I had a friend who had the name (he moved away to become a doctor so sadly we drifted) but I LOVE the name and his nickname is Toby as well

Most sport announcer introduce athletes by their last name. The last name is definitely sporty. I love the name Tobias. One of my favorite students name is that, but spelled Tabias. Great pick.

around here they definitely announce first and last names. we have tons of family members in sports and attend a lot of events! ha ha!
