I have a son from a previous marriage and my SO has a daughter from a previous gf. We are now having our first baby together and his mom wants to give me a baby shower. Honestly, I don't want/need one (since it's another boy and I kept everything from my son) but she insisted. She was talking to me the other day about playing games and such. At my sons babyshower I purposefully didn't do games because they're so overrated in my opinion. Not sure why but I hate them. I'm not sure how to nicely tell her that I don't want to play games. A game or two, fine. She's talking about doing 6-7 different games. I just think that's way too much. I don't want an all day long baby shower because we have 6 different games to play, gifts, socializing, eating, etc. I have a feeling I'll be dead after that, especially since I'll be 30+ weeks pregnant at that point with two toddlers to handle at home afterwards. Is it selfish to express my opinions and concerns about the babyshower or should I just let her do whatever she wants?
