Plan B

So I'm about 8 weeks pp and on Sunday my husband and I randomly had sex and used the pull out method on top of me breast feeding some ( stupid I know)  but we got a lot of snow that day ( 4ish inches) and we live on a hill so we weren't able to get plan B until last night , well Ive been having  egg white cervical mucus since about Monday night.. I don't know what's going on with my body since I haven't had a period in 9 months and haven't been to the doctors yet for my birth control since my son was sick the first time and the doctor has rescheduled me the 2nd time for this upcoming Monday 

I had what I believe was my first period after delivering around the 6.5 weeks pp.

So does plan b usually work before or during ovulation? And has anyone used plan b while having egg white cervical mucus?  

I guess only time will tell if plan b did its job or not.
