I have an appointment tomorrow and I was considering asking to be induced. My last appointment I was 2cm dilated, 85% effaced and at a -1 fetal station. I will 39 weeks, my hubs is going out of town for work, plus MD is potentially getting 30+ inches of snow this weekend. I live in a rural area, an hour away from the hospital and have no family to drive me if I were to go into labor so I'm petrified. Do you think it hurts to ask the doctor? Are there circumstances that it would be considered?  I've been having contractions on and off, increase in discharge, horrible cramps and back pain, not sleeping and feel like he could come any day now which is making me more nervous.
