Pregnant over 35??

Do you think people still have a good chance of having successful pregnancies after 35 with the biological clock ticking ??? Or is it better to have children young ??

Yes, I do. There are women in their 40's having their first child. Times have changed and my opinion- 30 nowadays, is the new 20😉

Statically it's better when younger but many women 35+ have no problems.  I didn't.  Had my first at 35 and another at 37.  Both times I got pregnant in the first month of trying.
But, every woman is different and for most it does get more difficult as they get older.

My mom just had her 5th 10 months ago and she's 39. And my brother came out perfectly fine.

People are having kids later and later now days but definitely if you're trying keep in contact w your Dr so they can make sure to check everything as the chances of different troubles increase. Good luck hun and make sure your taking folic acid before trying💜

I think there are great reasons for both waiting to have kids later or having them young. My sister and I are 8 years apart and are both pregnant with our first right now (due 3 days apart). I'm happy with our decision even though I'm 25 and she's glad she waited until 33. ☺️

It is possible to have a successful pregnancy after 35, but doctors do consider it advanced maternal age, so you will be monitored more closely and likely have visits and ultrasounds more often.

My parents had 1 kid at 26 & 2 in their 40s. They always planned to have more kids but it didn't happen until they were older. Guess my mom's clock ticked longer than most!

It depends on your specific physical challenges to reproduction. Statistically the rates of birth defects increase after 35, but not necessarily a decline in the ability to get pregnant until 40. So yes, earlier is better for a number of reasons.
