Pregnant and bleeding !!! :/

So on Tuesday around 4pm I felt very wet down there while I was putting some laundry away. I immediately got up thinking it was discharge. To my surprise it was bright red blood. I immediately thought the worse and began to cry. Thank god my fiancé was almost home so I showered and waited for him. We went to the ER and according to the doctors it's actually normal to bleed during the first trimester. I have no other symptoms and the baby checked out fine on ultrasound. My cervix is closed thank god. But I still am freaking out about the bleeding. I am currently still bleeding but less. They found out I'm O- so they administered a Rhogam shot to prevent my body from attacking my baby if there was to be mixing of our blood. I don't see my obgyn until Feb 2nd and I just don't know what to make of this. Has anyone had this happen before? Have you gone on to carry a healthy pregnancy ? I am freaking out.
