Why should my decision to ttc, while unmarried, be an issue?

All about personal priorities. We would rather ttc than get married. All that fuss for a piece of paper? No thanks - we'd rather create a new life. In my opinion that shows more commitment than marriage anyway.

Because people think they are entitled to voice their opinions on things. It pisses me off to no end also,  people always gave me so much hell for ttc while not married. Being married doesn't define how much I love a man,  or how much a man loves me nor is it a piece of paper that gives me permission to have a child with someone. But now that I'm 9 months pregnant, they have nothing to say😂

I've had the exact same things said to me! My partner and I have always been quite unconventional and we don't see the need in getting married, we don't need to be legally bound to prove the commitment of our relationship. I'm not putting down anyone else's marriage, if that's what works for you, that's great but it's not for us so we don't need the condescending comments. We have pondered about getting married but quickly came to the conclusion that we don't need to and whatever money would spend (likely a lot as we both have big families) on the wedding and honeymoon, we can put into our baby fund. That's just my personal opinion and I don't judge anyone else's choices, I think everyone should just mind their own business and give support when needed lol

People are only commenting from the outside. They don't have a clue to your life on the inside. Ignore their negatitvies and live your life how you deem it should be lived. I had my first son very young and then eventually married his father and got pregnant with our second child. All things happen for a reason. If you feel your calling is to be a mother before a wife, then that's your business. Good luck to you!

I'm not married or even engaged, but ttc. Both my parents have been married multiple times and though me and my SO may get married some day we're not in a rush. I have endometriosis and can't take birth control due to the side effects, so my obgyn said get pregnant, so that's what we're doing, especially because we are both in our 30s.

I plan to stay with him the rest of my life, and with the child. It really makes no sense that people feel the need to inject their negativity and opinion on my life choices if they disagree?! Clearly I'm ready for the commitment i and whole heartedly plan to be there for he or she. 
Some chick told me I need to get married first (because I'm disappointed in the negative results I've had). How is that going to make a difference?!
If we're ready to have a child, we're ready, no questions asked, no negative opinions needed
