me and my boyfriend have been together for a while now and we are in our last year of high school, and high school sweethearts really give me hope that we will last to marriage! if you and your SO have been together since teen years to marriage or anything of the sort please share your stories in the comments so I know there's a chance😭 surprisingly these stories make me feel better about the future!

My boyfriend and I started dating when we were 15. There were certainly a few rough patches during high school but we have really grown into our relationship since. Now, we are in our third year of college and planning on moving in together next semester.

I met my fiancé when I was a junior and he was a senior.  A month after he graduated he asked me to be his girlfriend, and we did long distance until this past summer.  The first four years it was just under 150 miles, since he was in college, and then he moved 1,400 miles away for work.  We got engaged the day after Thanksgiving in 2014 when he was up for the week to visit, and we are now four months and a week from our wedding in May!  💛💜

I just married my high school sweetheart 3 months ago! 
We meet our freshman year of high and and we're best friends until our senior year when we started dating! 
We went to different colleges but we're still able to make it. 
My advise is that it's a lot of work, but it is so worth it! Say I love you everyday, be forgiving and don't keep a record of wrongs.

Me and my boyfriend met sophomore year and high school and we are now freshman in college together! There is hope. People say "high school sweetheart" marriages have a lasting rate of 3% and the rest end in divorce. I HIGHLY disagree with this. In my own opinion, in my own shoes, these relationships ar VERY capable of lasting. Put in the same amount of effort, consider your partners feelings when making decisions, remain loyal, respect them, honor them, trust them, and have faith in them. As long as you're both doing your part, nothing should stop you. If anything I've grown more and more in love with him and I'm so fond of the love/bond we share. I know we can make it, we talk about marriage all the time and I even have a promise ring he gave me senior year. Sure times get rough, but work it out. Lose the argument not the person. That's really the only advice I have. Other than that just love him/her and give them a reason to want to work so hard for you.

My boyfriend isn't out of high school yet(I graduated early so we are the same ages). We are both 18 and in April are moving in together. I met him in 7th grade and we started dating freshman year. We were a little rocky and on and off just because we were young and didn't care. We've been together for a while now consecutively. I have a promise ring just because our families would freak out if I had a real engagement ring right now. We do have plans on getting married though and startin a family. If you both love each other it'll last until death tears you apart, which sounds kind of dark but you know what I mean 😂❤️

I never had this but my parents started dating when they were 14 and 15. Got married at 18 and 19 and are now 53 and 54 and have been married for almost 35 years. It can happen. It takes work though. I've seen how it hasn't always been easy for them.

I met my current boyfriend my freshman year of high school, and we hated each other. Then junior year rolls around and we start talking for some reason (I think we happened to just bump into each other. We went to a really big school) and after a couple weeks I started to fall head over heels for him, and I confessed to him that I liked him, and he told me that he liked me too! I was so surprised but ecstatic. So we went on a date, and it was amazing. We went all over town and hung out for half the day. He asked me then if I wanted to go steady with him and I said yes. We've been together for over 2 years, and even though we've  been on and off sometimes, we always come back to each other. That's why I think we'll be together for a really long time. I think it's just meant to be.
