Breastfeeding with inverted nipple

Lreed
Hi, are there any moms on here who can give me advice about breastfeeding with an inverted nipple? It's only my right nipple and with my first daughter it was hard to get her to latch! I tried the shield and it was ok! If I use the shield on one side, do I need to use it on the other as well?? Any advice would be awesome!! Thanks!!

My left is inverted. I used the shield on both even though I didn't need to. I stopped using it about 2 months in. Now I pull it out, sounds strange, but it works.

Yes. They actually weren't inverted until I gave birth, weird. But now I really have no issues.

Using supple cups to pull them out worked for me. I have flat nipples 🙂

Thank you so much!! I was wondering if I would be able to pull it out!! Is it a lot easier now than when you first started?

You don't have to use the shield on both sides.

Buy a breast shell. It fixes flat and inverted nipples by gently drawing out the nipple between feedings and it can be used during pregnancy as well.
