There should be other options on this poll. I think that it's natural and should be done. It's also a tremendous bonding experience between mother and baby. However, I think that it should be covered up with an appropriate nursing blanket or scarf. If you're walking around the store with your breast out and child latched with no concealment, then it becomes disrespectful to others.

Breasts are so sexualized that people forget that they're there for a purpose. A lot of non-westernized cultures find it strange that we see breasts as sex characteristics and are so obsessed with playing with them, and so they compare men in western cultures to babies in that sense lol. Your boobs are there to feed your babies. It's the most natural of things.

Absolutely, COMPLETELY fine. If it's not disrespectful for a woman to show off her boobs in a lingerie ad, car commercial, or halftime show, I find it ridiculous that anyone would say it's disrespectful for a woman to feed her child. (News flash, boobs evolved primarily to provide food for a baby, not as a sexual object for anyone to ogle at.)

It's so crazy to me the double standard that we have towards nudity in the states.
