Working mamas?

Question

Is anyone else already nervous about going back to work? I'm a student so between that and  the hours I need to work to keep insurance, I'll be gone almost every day of the week. My husband says "you're not the first mom to have to go back to work" 😑 but I hate the idea of being away from baby so often.  What are your plans??

I think it sucks...but some of us unfortunately don't have the option to be stay at home mama's. It was really hard going back to work after my first daughter but u will get used to it. Maybe go to 4 days a week if u have that option. It doesn't sound like much of a difference but 4 days a week was a gazillion times easier for me than 5. Split up the week a little and work Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri.

I'm a working mama, too. I know how fast maternity leave goes! Just keep reminding yourself that you are working hard to create a better future for your growing family.

I'll be a working mom.  I'm looking forward to 12 weeks off with my little man...but I know I'll also look forward to going back to work. I love my family and my job so I'm very happy to have both in my life!

I'm not looking forward to going back but it's what's best for my family. My SO will be a SAHD which is nice but I am jealous of the things he'll get to experience that I will likely miss.

Yes. I'm taking a month off, that's about all I can afford. I don't qualify for FMLA and while my employer assures me they won't be replacing me, I also have little PTO... It's not a fun situation, I wish the US offered better maternity and paternity options for new parents who go to school and work. 😞

I'm nervous at the fact that I now have a new at home job, I'm at FTM and training ends a week before his due date. I'm worried I won't be able to cope with everything. Newborn baby and new job even if it is at home. I hope it isn't going to be as hard as in making it. I'm breast feeding so that makes feeding time easier.

I'm a nanny, so I'll be bringing my little guy to work with me. I'll be watching a baby girl and my son together. I feel so blessed to be able to be with him while working.

I only get two weeks of leave, and that's my paid vacation I'm using! My employer says I can bring the baby to work with me when j go back, hopefully I won't need a csection!

I'm a little stressed about actually going back to work, but my boss is letting me work from home for a little bit, and then I'll bring baby with me to work.
