Provera experiences?

Hubby and I have been ttc for a few months now. I got off the pill 7 months ago and never regained my period.
My doc finally prescribed me Provera, and I am on day 8 currently. I'm anxious to see if this jump starts things. Have any of you ladies taken provera after bc pill??
What were your experiences with it..how long did it take to get pregnant, how bad was the period, did it even help, etc.

I took Provera but it only would bring my period it never made my cycles regular. Only time I got a period was with that. I need led clomid too.

I took it, and my period started 5 days later then on day 3-7 I took clomid, now I'm waiting for my ovulation test to be positive now.

I had very irregular cycles. Went to the dr. Got put on Provera for 10 days. Got my period within days of stopping like they said I would. My cycles were then regular and I got pregnant 3 months later
