Any truth to bigger belly = bigger baby?

FTM and I want to know if the belly size corresponds to baby size?

Sometimes it depends on the amount of amniotic fluid you have. I've been pretty average, but my friend was told her baby was going to be huge based on the size of her belly. She ended up with a 6lb baby and a ton of fluid at 40 wks.

It can depend on height. I'm 5'11 so my uterus is growing upward as I have a long torso for growing room. My best friend is about 5'7 with a short torso and her uterus is growing outward.

Holds true for me, but I believe it was all in connection to how much I gained. My first I gained 62lbs he was 9lbs6oz, second I gained 15lbs he was 8lbs 10oz, 3rd I've gained 4 lbs and he was 7lbs7oz

Daughter @ 32 weeks 5 days (she was born 35/5 @ 6 lbs 2 oz)
Son @ 39 weeks 1 day (had him the next day @ 8 lbs 1 oz)

Not for me... I gained too much weight with my first and my belly was huge. He was born at 6lb2oz. I was just fat. Doing things completely different this time!

My belly was huge, everyone commented on it, and sure enough my son was 10.5 pounds.  But who knows.  It could just be something that sometimes corresponds and sometimes doesn't.

For me it was true. I was smaller with my daughter and she weighed less and with my son I was sticking so far out, and he was almost 9lbs! But could just be coincidence.
