How do I tell my in-laws I'm pregnant?

So we just found out we are expecting this past Monday after 2 miscarriages. My sister in law is also pregnant, due 5 weeks before me. I know she's going to be upset and feel like I'm stealing her thunder. Also, we want to announce early in case something happens again so we have the support of our families. What is the best way to tell my in-laws they are gonna be grandparents twice? And how do I tell/handle my sister-in-law?

We bought this chalkboard sign from Buy Buy Baby and had my daughter show the family. My husband and his sister were married 8 weeks apart and we had our first babies 3 1/2 weeks apart (we're due 4 weeks apart). There was some tension around the weddings. For the pregnancies, we tried to make it a time for us to get closer together and we really did become better friends after that. I'd have a conversation with her and just explain something like that.

I'm in the same boat, after two miscarriages, I don't know when or how to tell my in-laws. I told my parents right away, for support reasons. I just don't want to tell it until we're in our second trimester. Last time I was pregnant, they were not excited due to my first miscarriage. I also haven't told my brother as he just got engaged and his wedding date is a week before my due date! I think I'll just put it off for as long as I can, it just gets harder as time goes on. How far along are you? Are you doing anything different with the pregnancy? I'm 5 weeks. I've started a low dose aspirin for this pregnancy, per my fertility doctor. I hope it's a sticky one for both of us! 💗

Try not to stress. A few weeks before we announced we learned that my bil and Sis in law are having twins. It's just going to be year of babies and doesn't take away from the bundle of joy you are expecting.

I'm also worried about my SIL. My EDD is 6 weeks after hers, but we haven't told her yet. We were also engaged around the same time, and she wrote this long email about how we were sucking the joy out of her special time. She wanted us to delay our wedding for her. She got over it eventually but it still didn't feel great. Ah well I guess she can't ask us to delay anything this time! 😊

Just tell them and see how they react.  As for your sister in law, I'm not sure. Do you 2 normally get along.
