telling parents ???

okay, so I'm 5weeks + 3 days & I was wondering how far along were you ladies when you told your parents you were pregnant ? the only reason I'm hesitant about is because I had an miscarriage before & I Dnt want to tell them then something terrible happens, I try not to think the worse but so far this one has been sticking.

We waited before and had losses, but this time we told them right away bc we wanted the support. After years of trying and IVF, my mother-in-law (who I'm closer to than my own mom) practical knew my cycle anyway and would have asked! 😜 
So, parents, my sister, and each of us told a friend we trust (and who has had kids)... it's really nice being able to talk about changes and have support.

I would tell them soon specially for that reason. They could give you the support and words of encouragement you need. I told mine after my first OB appointment. I was 5 weeks or so when I found out. Considering they were special circumstances they were supportive none the less and my mom reassured me that everything was okay and that if I felt uneasy I should just wait the 12 weeks before telling anyone else. As long as they know, if you're close to them, its all good. ☺️

My sister has two miscarriages prior to her current pregnancy and this time she waited till 12 weeks to let our parents know and then announced it everyone else after they knew! Happy to report she is currently 30 weeks!!!

I told them at the 14 week mark when I was officially in my 2nd trimester. I did that just to make sure I wouldn't miscarry in the first trimester since that has happened to me before. I'd recommend waiting til the 14 week mark

My parents knew within twenty minutes of the test. I know everyone says not to tell before the second trimester or whatever, but I would rather people know and then be there for support if I need it later. 
I just know a little human exists right now whether or not there's a miscarriage later. I wouldn't want this baby to be lost in oblivion just because he couldn't last long enough for someone else's standards.

I told my mom early a few days after I found out just so I would be able to have her mothers support.
