Massive clot

I started my period yesterday and have been getting some ridiculously painful cramps. I haven't been able to move very much and whenever I get the cramps I have to stop and bend over and tense the bottom of my stomach so it kind of squeezes some stuff out TMI SORRY!! But it's ridiculous and even with pain meds it hurts like a bitch. It's a seriously heavy period and I went to the bathroom and found the biggest clot I have ever ever seen. Like the King of all clots. It was about the size of an apple? And it was so thick it looked kind of like a growth. I could even see that there was a fibre-y kind of texture. I couldnt have a closer look because it had already fallen into the deep abyss of the toilet bowl. I'm not sure if I'm making sense but I am seriously freaked out. I'm not pregnant and I have PCOS. Any ideas?? Seriously freaked out
