Vagina burn like?

Okay so my vagina kind of burns when I wash it with soap outside. It only burns when I use the soap, with water its totally okay. I have been using regular soap for 16 years and this never happen... When i say outside my vagina i literally mean outside the vagina not inside at all..  what do I do to prevent this?

Do you mean literally your vagina? As in you are inserting the soap inside your vaginal canal? Or do you mean the outer opening to the vagina? Just making sure, because people don't always use the correct terminology.

If we're talking the outer opening, labia and so forth you may just need to find a soap that's a little more gentle on the skin. A lot of soaps are pretty harsh on that area. What the skin on the rest of your body can handle versus the skin of your genitals, are entirely different.

what kind of soap are you using hunnie? If its regular soap its not recommended for use down there, as soaps can cause bacterial vaginitis which can mimic a yeast infection but it throws off the ph so you smell a little fishy  (unfortunately blood soap and semen are usually the cuprits for causing that)  . They do make special soaps you can use i think its summers eve brand it looks like body wash but its not (don't buy the douche! That will further irritate your vagina).  My dr told me not to use soap, just water only because I'm so sensitive down there . If you're concerned about yeast the symptoms are severe itching, burning and clumpy white discharge. If you are sill having symptoms even when not using the soap you may have to see your dr. Hope you feel better!

Well it could be a yeast infection so you might get seen but other than that you might try a ph balanced wash specifically for that area. I use summers eve but there are a few different brands you can choose from depending on where you go.
