Question??? Glass Bottle or plastic for new born!

Hi ladies
My mother in law recently told me she did not want me using a plastic bottle for the first couple of months?!
Ive never heard of this and why is she so pushy about me using a glass bottle???

I would gonwith the bpa free plastic bottles . God forbid u accidently drop the bottle on the baby u wouldnt want that to be a heavy glass bottle 😳

My understanding of glass vs plastic: Anytime you heat plastic tiny amounts of chemicals from the plastic leach into the food or liquid within the container (higher amounts of the food inside is highly acidic or if you microwave the plastic). The amount that leaches in is concicdered safe but BPA was concicdered safe 15 years ago. Glass is essentially heated sand has fewer chemicals and does not leach.

I did both with my first but as long as the plastic is BPA free, it's fine and usually easier to wash! (And often cheaper!)

We had both. And both were bpa free. The glass ones broke a few times...

I'm going with glass. Even plastic labeled "bpa free" still has chemicals in it, which have been shown to be even worse than bpa. You never know what you'll get with plastic.
