Can I test sooner than AF with possible accuracy with a dollar store hpt?? 4 days till AF is due and just curious :)

I took a dollar store test the day my period was due and got a negative. I then tried it again four days later and got a very faint positive.

I read that the cheaper tests you needed to have about 25 HGC level but the early results test you only need about 20 HGC level. your level doubles every 2-3days

From what i know those are sensitive to your HCG and are only accurate if you test after being late from your AF
